'Tis the Season

It is officially cold and flu season for little babies. Melanie has been hit with the bug. She caught a case of RSV, most likely from the daycare since other babies there were getting sick. She is being a total trooper about all of it. We are glad that we noticed her getting sick early on and got her to the doctor before it became too advanced of a case. She will be getting breathing treatments every 4 hours for the next 20 to 30 days. Matt and I have been very spoiled with being able to sleep through the night -- Melanie is a wonderful sleeper. Now, we get up during the night to give a treatment to our precious baby girl. Melanie takes the treatments pretty well and sometimes even wants to hold the small mask that directs the steamy medicine. She is not getting better quickly. We have kept her out of daycare this week to assist with the healing process. Matt and I have taken turns on which days we have stayed home. Today I have another turn at the wheel.
