Over the Christmas season there was a special on television called "Dora's Christmas". Melanie got pretty attached to that one for quite some time. In that story Dora and her sidekick, Boots the Monkey, wore "travel capes" to go through time. Melanie wanted her own cape which we made out of one of her pink baby blankets. Melanie realized that Jessie could also wear the cape and didn't seem to mind having it on. This next picture shows Jessie sleeping with the cape on. Jessie decided to use one of Melanie's bears (that had on a diaper... ha ha ha) as a pillow. I couldn't resist capturing it.

Matt and Melanie went to WalMart yesterday to get her a tricycle. The "Go Diego Go" trike was the natural choice. Our neighbor's let Melanie ride the bike in their driveway; our driveway is stone and not as nice for bike riding.
Melanie and Smokey... priceless.
One of Melanie's newest things is sleeping in her toddler bed's under-the-bed-trundle-drawer instead of the bed itself. Melanie's daycare has children's cots for naptime. We believe that is why she prefers the rollar-drawer that would normally fit under her bed. She'll sleep in her bed sometimes, but will ask for her "other bed". It doesn't matter to us... she is happy and sleeps like a champion either way. In this next picture she is sleeping in her "other bed". If you look closely you can also see her "Go Diego Go" toys she got at Christmas and her water cup for when her "toys get thirsty".
The weather here has gone between cool-balmy to frigid-cold; we have also had snow from time to time. I love it when it snows... it is so beautiful. This weekend the weather has been pretty good.
Yesterday I attended our monthly Regional training for PartyLite. I have been doing PartyLite now for 5 years and I love it. This year is going to be amazing. If you're curious about what I'm talking about, check out my personal PartyLite website: www.partylite.biz/marlajones.
Have a great Sunday.
